Happy Tails Pet Sitting

Happy Tails provides in-home pet sitting and dog walking services throughout the Greater Palm Springs/western Coachella Valley area. This means that I come to your home to provide pet and home services - ranging from the standard 30-minute visit to 45, and 60-minute visits. I do not however, offer boarding services at this time.  According to the American Humane Association, pets are most happy when they're left at home- surrounded by familiar sights, sounds, and smells, & protected from the stress and potential exposure to illness often encountered at many kennel/vet boarding facilities or pet resorts. My personalized service allows you to leave your pet in his/her known environment and stick to their familiar routines without the risk of parasites, kennel cough, canine influenza or other unfortunate illnesses.

I care for almost every kind of animal, as long as they do not pose a serious danger to me. I do not care for any animals with a history of biting, fighting or attacking other animals or people.

Happy Tails is owned and operated solely by Molly Anderson.  My chief priority is the safety and security of you, your pets and your property. As a former police officer in the State of California , it was a requirement to have a clear background in order to obtain that position.  To this day, I continue to maintain a clean background and also clean driving record.  I am passionate about delivering the best care available to you. I am only interested in giving 100% each and every visit.

That depends on your schedule. Many of our clients with cats ask us to come 1 or 2 times per day when they're away; our puppy clients often 4 times per day and our adult dog clients frequently schedule 3 times per day. Definitely not!   While it is more economical for some companies to walk 4 or 5 dogs at a time, this is not necessarily the safest or least stressful approach for your animal. As a matter of policy the only time I walk multiple dogs is when they are from the same household.  Call it what they may - socializing, or group outings -  the only reason other dog walkers walk multiple dogs at the same time, is to make more money in a shorter period of time.  I on the other hand, take a safer, more personalized approach to caring for your furry friend.

Happy Tails is committed to providing you with the best service in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. I am licensed by the City of Palm Springs and I carry the maximum limits of Liability Insurance in the pet sitting industry. Don't be fooled by other pet sitters who claim to be insured and bonded, but carry the minimum limits or worse, expired policies.  I will be happy to show you any paperwork regarding my license, insurance or background information.

I ask for 24 - 48 hours notice for all scheduling.  For holidays I ask for at least one week notice, as holidays are a time that a large percentage of my clients are travelling and due to capacity constraints, I require a bit more notice in order to guarantee that I am available.

I will administer basic medications such as - pills, drops, injections and subcutaneous fluids.  I will not administer medication to any animal that poses a serious danger to me.

This way I can come to your home for an initial interview to meet your pet(s), become familiar with your home/routine, and discuss all pertinent information about you and your pet's needs.

I accept cash and personal checks.  For vacation care:  half of the payment is required in advance - and the rest will be due upon your safe return.  For daily clients: weekly payment is great.  There will be an additional $20 charge for all returned checks.
